Character Builds in Downtown Winnipeg


My name is Rhonda Funke and I am one of the new sales representatives for StreetSide Condos at District. I am licensed with Rancho Realty Services (Manitoba) Ltd.. Having grown up in Carman and then moving to Winnipeg, I have seen the city transition over the years. I started my career in real estate two years ago and love my new career. During this time, I have had the opportunity to view numerous condominiums in Winnipeg and after viewing the condominiums at District – it was then that I realized how unique and fabulous they are!

My favorite suite is the current Display suite at 133 Market Avenue. Toronto Meets Winnipeg’s District Condominiums

My name is Rebecca Copping and I am one of the newest members to join StreetSide’s sales team. I am very pleased to be working with one of Winnipeg’s finest condominium builders and having just moved from Toronto, I have been pleasantly surprised by just how much this city has to offer!

I previously worked for a high-rise condominium developer in Toronto and have seen numerous projects launched and built over the past 6 years. While high-rise condominiums seem to dominate the horizon, what Torontonians really revel for is something unique that has a different feel than the all too popular cookie-cutter floor plans. They love loft-style condominiums – especially those that have been built in historic buildings on King Street West or in Toronto’s famed Distillery District.

I remember the first time I was led through the suites at District. We first toured through 110 James Street and I was totally impressed by the high ceilings, exposed wooden beams and the true marriage between the historic elements and new design. I could not believe how beautiful the display suite was and how high-end all of the features and finishes are. This condo in Toronto would be snapped up in seconds! We then headed over to 133 Market Avenue where I fell in love with suite #305 – it is a two-story loft with a private rooftop terrace. One of the most beautiful features are the exposed brick walls and existing wooden pillars that give an earthy grounded feeling to these once industrial style buildings.

The exchange district in Winnipeg reminds me very much of the Distillery District in Toronto. Winnipeg has so many great restaurants all within walking distance from District Condos. Not only are there great restaurants, but also access to the downtown core is only minutes away!

District Condos is the perfect place to call home and live in a piece of historic architecture while reaping the benefits of downtown where everything is literally at your fingertips!
